Welcome to our website.
The Montgomeryshire Field Society has been surveying and reporting on the state of flora and fauna in and around Montgomeryshire for over seventy five years. The information gleaned from these surveys has played a large part in the formation of conservation policies in the area. Without these up to date records, whether it be bird numbers or loss of floral habitat, we would be unable to measure the changes the climate or man is having on our ecology.
We welcome new members wanting to join us, helping with our surveying, learning and gaining specialist knowledge from our more experienced members. There are regular surveys on SSSI’s and reserves during the more clement months, with talks from invited experts during the winter.
